Bradford, PA – Olean Medical Group (OMG), a Kaleida Health organization, is pleased to announce that Katherine Gleason, CNM, MSN, RN, will be joining the team at the new Women’s Health Clinic in Bradford, Pa. She is joining Jill Nelson, PA-C, who is currently seeing patients in the clinic on a part-time basis.

“We’re excited to enhance access to women’s healthcare in Northern Pennsylvania by expanding our services to Bradford,” said Chris Strade, CEO, OMG. “We opened our women’s health clinic last month and have seen a tremendous response already. By adding Katie to our team, she will be an invaluable resource to the community.”

Gleason, a Bradford native, echoes the team’s commitment and is excited to continue expanding women’s health services throughout the region. “I was born and raised right in Bradford,” added Gleason. “It’s great to be a part of the Olean Medical Group’s investment in women’s health expansion in my hometown. This will certainly improve access in our rural community for those in need.”

Gleason will be providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services such as pregnancy care, well-women care, breast and cervical cancer screenings, HPV education and prevention, preconception counseling, contraception, skin lesion removal, Nexplanon insertion and removal, IUD insertion and removal, endometrial and vulvar biopsy, and the diagnosis and management of abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids and other urology and urogynecological conditions.

She will offer women’s midlife care, peri-and menopausal management, including hormone therapy. Gleason is a Women’s Hormone Therapy specialist, accredited through Heather Hirsch Academy.

“I’m dedicated to providing individualized, evidence-based care while motivating and empowering women. I am passionate about supporting women to feel their best while optimizing health,” said Gleason.

Gleason earned her associate degree in nursing from Jamestown Community College in Olean, NY, and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Daemen University, Buffalo, NY.  She earned her master’s degree in nursing and nurse-midwifery from Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY.

OMG Women’s Health Clinic opening at Bradford Regional Medical Center Campus

Bradford, PA – Olean Medical Group (OMG), a Kaleida Health organization, will open the doors to a new women’s health clinic in Bradford, Pennsylvania, offering expanded access to essential and specialized care for women of all ages. The clinic has been a focus of OMG’s commitment to enhancing access to comprehensive, compassionate care to the region.

The new women’s health clinic is conveniently located on the Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) campus inside the Bradford Medical Arts Building at 195 Pleasant Street, Suite 2. The clinic will be staffed by obstetrics/gynecology provider, Jill Nelson, PA-C, in collaboration with Tahir Chauhdry, DO, with a new certified-nurse midwife starting full-time this Fall. Providers will begin seeing patients in the clinic on Monday, August 11.

“We’ve recognized a critical need for increased access to women’s health services in the Bradford community,” said Chris Strade, chief executive officer (CEO), OMG. “By opening this women’s health clinic, we’re helping to remove geographic and systematic barriers so women can receive a full-spectrum of high-quality care throughout every stage of life without the need to travel long distances.”

Services include routine gynecological exams, prenatal, pregnancy and postnatal care, menopause management and mid-life care, pelvic and menstrual pain care, family planning and other preventative screenings. The clinic features newly renovated, modern private exam rooms and ease of accessibility to BRMC services to support the full-spectrum of care.
